Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: How many trainers work at Full Pawtential?
A: I am the only trainer, the owner, and the only person you will speak with when you contact me for training. Q: Can you take my dog, train him, and give him back? A: Full Pawtential Dog Training does not offer this service. In fact, I highly recommend that you are the one who trains your dog! Dogs sent away for boarding training typically do not carry the behaviors learned back to their home and you will end up training them anyway! Q: How long have you been training dogs? A: I have been Certified through Animal Behavior College since 2007. I have continued my education through real life experiences, classes, books, and more! I am a member of the Pet Professional Guild and believe strongly in fear-free training methods. Q: Do you work with any type of dog? A: Yes, all breeds, ages, sizes of dogs are welcome. Sorry I do not train cats, kids, or husbands! Q: Do you guarantee your services? A: My goal is to teach you how to be the trainer. If the methods used don't seem to be having the desired affect, we may introduce a different method. There is no guarantee because YOU are the one doing the training! Q: Why does your puppy socialization class allow puppies that are not fully vaccinated? A: According to position statement issued by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, your puppy is at greater risk of behavioral problems that result in euthanasia or rehoming when not properly socialized when compared to the minimal risk of illness when allowing your puppy to socialize prior to being fully vaccinated. Your dog will enjoy the training as much as you do. I do not allow prong collars, shock collars, and other harsh training methods during class or home sessions. If you are currently using any of these products, I will recommend that you put them in the trash can! Let me show you a better way. |
